WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE?: Kevin Chase, front, Superintendent of ESD 105, led a community conversation Thursday evening about qualities people would like to see in a new superintendent for the Goldendale School District.

Thursday's community input meeting in the middle school cafeteria for choosing a superintendent for the Goldendale School District produced much spirited conversation and an unusual amount of poetic language from the very few in attendance.

The meeting was led by Educational Service District (ESD) 105 Superintendent Kevin Chase and followed a series of meetings earlier in the day with district students (high and middle schools), administrators, and the school board.

Chase told the attendees-10 people from the community, along with ESD staff-that input should include criteria on both personal and professional levels and should also consider what challenges a new superintendent could expect...
