Are you considering starting a business but have questions on how to get started? Do you currently own a successful business and have tips to share, or a struggling business owner that needs some insight on how to improve your business? Or perhaps you are a retired business man or woman that still loves to talk business? If so, you might to come to an informal Business Mingle of past, present, or future business-minded people to network, share ideas, concerns, and experiences. Chat business over a beer at Dwinell Country Ales on the corner of Broadway and Grant, Wednesday night, Feb. 6, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m . Minors will be welcome, and non-alcoholic beverages are available. Food can also be brought into the business.

Parents, we need you: would you like to join the Goldendale School District Family Engagement Team? This team will help plan and coordinate effective parent involvement activities that improve academic achievement and school performance. Join KVH next Friday, Feb. 1, for National Wear Red Day as it kicks off Heart Health Awareness Month. Heart disease is currently the number one killer of men and women in America. To help raise awareness and honor those friends and family members who have been affected by this disease, the hospital will host a 10-minute walk around the campus. So lace up your shoes, bring a friend, and join in! Exercise is one of the seven steps to a healthy heart. Everyone wear something red! The event is at the main parking lot at 12:15 p.m. Join in during your lunch hour. They will have hearts available for you to write the name of the friend or family member you are honoring.
