County Commissioners are to hold a public hearing prior to granting a non-exclusive

franchise for the construction, maintenance and operations of Fiber Optic Systems

together with wires and other appurtenances, upon, under, along and across various

Klickitat County Roads located in the following section, township and ranges within Klickitat County:

The Klickitat County Board of Commissioners has discretionary funds, generated by recording fees, which are intended to promote historical preservation or historical programs, which may include preservation of historic documents. Klickitat County is currently seeking proposals for projects to use these funds. The total amount to be awarded in 2019 is $5,000.

Projects may be to acquire or preserve local historic buildings, artifacts or documents; to develop and present local historical programs or events; or to perform research into local history. Applicants must be non-profit or governmental entities which perform educational, interpretive, or preservative activities within the boundaries of Klickitat County which promotes or preserves the County’s local history.

The Broadband Planning Committee (BPC) will hold a meeting on February 25, 2019 from 5:00-6:30 p.m. The BPC’s purpose is to gather stakeholder input on the best way to expand and improve internet service in Goldendale. A public open house will follow from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Both meetings will be held at City Hall. The Board of Directors of Wishram School District #94 will meet for the purpose fixing and adopting the District’s 2018/19 Capital Projects Fund Budget Extension.
