Goldendale takes four grapplers to State

Due to bad weather statewide, the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) eliminated the 1A high school regional wrestling contests and folded all the of the matches into an expanded state tournament at the Tacoma Dome that doubled the original bracket of 16 to 32 wrestlers.

In SCAC West Team Competition, Goldendale High School sent four grapplers to Tacoma: freshman Bryce Waddell in the 113-weight class (WC), sophomore Ivan Cazares in the 120 WC, sophomore and district champion, Dusty Dodge in the 160 WC, and sophomore Blake Waddell in the 170 WC.
