Sealed bids for the Klickitat County 2017 Safety Program Project, CRP 349, will be received by the Board of County Commissioners at the reception desk located in the Klickitat County Public Works Department, 115 South Golden. Klickitat County Determination of Mitigated Non-Significance

Notice is hereby given that Klickitat County issued a Mitigated Determination of Non-significance (MDNS) on, March 13, 2019, under SEPA Rules (Chapter 197-11 WAC) and the Klickitat County Environmental Ordinance Number 121084, as amended, for the following proposals:

SEPA 2019-07. Applicant: Oregon Trail Rally. Proposal for the Oregon Trail Rally to host an annual road racing event on closed sections of public roads. The applicant is proposing to utilize multiple parcels at different locations as staging and spectators overlook site areas. The racing will occur on the following Klickitat County roads: Dalles Mtn Road; Uecker Rd; Oak Flat Rd; Saxton Bane Rd; Rock Creek Rd; and Maryhill Loops Rd. Klickitat County Public Works Department is requesting proposals from Architectural & Engineering (A&E) firms interested in providing professional services for five (5) projects at various County owned facilities. Required services will include preliminary design, preparation of construction documents, and feasibility analysis. Public Works intends to engage with an A&E firm that has electrical, mechanical, and cost estimating capabilities in one firm, as needed, or is a lead firm with sub-consultants.

Klickitat County’s Technical Committee Meeting Schedule

March 28, 2018 – July 13, 2017

The role of the Klickitat County’s Technical Committee (TC) is to provide technical advice to the Klickitat Citizen’s Review Committee on the identification, sequencing and prioritization of projects for the salmonid recovery and the evaluation of the technical merits of the candidate projects submitted to the Klickitat Citizen’s Review Committee. Therefore the TC meets during the spring and summer months, with their regularly meeting on the third Thursday of each month, unless otherwise noted. This year’s meeting dates are as follows:

OPPORTUNITY TO CONTRACT

Minor Home Modification Program for Seniors

Respond by 5:00 P.M. (PST), Friday, March 29, 2019

Purpose: The Area Agency on Aging & Disabilities of Southwest Washington (AAADSW) is seeking qualified businesses or organizations to contract to provide Minor Home Modification Program, also known as HOME Program. Minor home modifications enable seniors to continue living at home safely and securely. The contract period associated with this announcement will be one year, and may be extended depending on the availability of funding.

AAADSW Background: AAADSW is designated by the State of Washington as the Area Agency on Aging serving Clark, Cowlitz, Klickitat, Skamania and Wahkiakum Counties. The agency plans, advocates, develops, coordinates and supports a comprehensive service delivery system in the five-county region for persons who are 60 years of age or older, persons with disabilities who are 18 years of age or older, and caregivers of aging and/or disabled persons. Description of Required Services: Any business or organization responding to this notice must be able to perform minor home modifications or repairs to any client’s home as authorized by AAADSW prior to the commencement of work. Any business or organization that receives a contract must use voluntary labor for the work associated with the Home Program. Contract funds may be used to recruit, oversee and coordinate volunteers who will provide labor to install home modifications. Funds can also be used to purchase products and supplies. Examples of physical adaptions include the following:

•Access ramps

•In-home lift systems

•Stairway rails

•Door and window locks

•Walk-in showers

•Accessible cabinets

•Exterior lights

•Smoke detectors

•Alarm systems

•Widening doorways

•Bathroom modifications

Modifications that add to the total square footage of a home, or are of general utility and are not of direct medical or remedial benefit to the client are specifically excluded.

Eligible/Qualified Applicants: Applicants are limited to entities that are able to demonstrate past performance providing the required services; must be a verifiable legal public or private entity holding a valid Washington State Business License; and comply with all applicable local, state and federal laws, regulations, policies and contract requirements. Additional eligibility requirements will be required at the time of reviewing interested applicants’ qualifications (e.g., experience, bonding, insurance, past performance, fiscal and management references, independent financial audits, etc.). Organizations that have been debarred, suspended, proposed for debarment, declared ineligible or excluded from participating in a contract by any Federal or state agency will not be considered.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Klickitat County Board of County Commissioners will hold a public hearing:

TUESDAY, APRIL 9, 2019

THE PURPOSE of said hearing is to hear all interested parties who wish to testify for or against the following proposal:

Subdivision SUB-2018-02. Applicant: Husum Ranch LLC. The applicant proposes to divide a 21.15 acre parcel into 50 lots over two phases on tax parcel 04-10-3617-1002/00. Phase 1 will contain 29 lots and phase 2 will contain the remaining 21 lots. Each lot will utilize the Fordyce Water System and will utilize Orenco System AdvanTex Treatment systems connected to community drainfield for sewage disposal. Access will be taken from Fairway Drive and Husum Hills Drive, both existing roadways connecting to State Route 141.

The Board of County Commissioners shall approve, deny, approve with conditions, table, or continue the matter to a set time and place.

The application materials are available for review at the Klickitat County Planning Department, 228 W Main St., Goldendale, WA 98620. Written comments will be accepted through 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 2019.
