County 4-H serves its community

The Dancing Mountain Riders (DMR) 4H group was one of two Klickitat County 4H clubs to serve dinner at the United Methodist Church Soup Kitchen in Goldendale this week as a community service project.

On Thursday, March 21, four of the DMR group's members and their moms served 45 dinners to hungry diners. In addition to helping prepare and serve the food, the girls decorated the tables with Spring welcome cards and cleaned up the facility after dinner.

This effort was in response to a 4H goal of service to the community. Community service is to be documented as part of each 4-hers Permanent Record Book.
