2019 CALL FOR SALMON HABITAT PROJECT APPLICATIONS

The Salmon Recovery Funding Board awards grant funds to protect and restore salmon habitat. Applicants must submit proposals to their local Lead Entity for evaluation before the Salmon Recovery Funding Board considers a project for funding.

Eligible Applicants:

Cities, Counties, State Agencies, Private Landowners, Native American Tribes, Non-Profit Organizations, Conservation Districts, Special Purpose Districts, and Regional Fisheries Enhancement Groups.

Eligible Project Types:

Acquisition, Restoration, Assessment, Design Only, and Combination Projects (i.e. Acquisition and Restoration) of high priority within the Klickitat Lead Entity Area.

Call for Bids

2019 Klickitat County Rural 7 Fire & Rescue Station 10 Addition & Remodel

Sealed Bids for the Fire Hall Addition to Fire Station at 180 Box Canyon will be received, by Klickitat County Rural 7 FIRE & RESCUE (Rural 7 Fire), at the office of Rural 7 Fire (327 W BROOKS ST Goldendale, WA) until 1:30 PM local time on Wednesday, April 17th, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The work includes but is not limed to, the remodel of 864 SF and addition of 1,512 SF pre-engineered wood framed fire apparatus storage building with a 752 square foot ANSI bathroom. Project related site work and utility systems, including a 750 gallon sewage hold tank are included in project. The bid will include alternates for a 54’x76’ gravel parking lot and a 23’x78’ concrete slab with 6 concrete bollards. Bids will be received for a single prime contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis. Request for Proposal

Public Utility District No. 1 of Klickitat County is requesting proposals on a new Business Telephone System and Voice Processing System. This work includes replacing the existing phone/voice processing system at the Goldendale Main Office, Goldendale Service Center, White Salmon Office and Landfill Gas Plant with a new state of the art business phone/voice processing system.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEARBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by the Klickitat County Board of Commissioners in the Commissioners’ Hearing Room in the County Courthouse in Goldendale on April 9, 2019 at 1:30pm. The purpose of the public hearing is to review community development and housing needs, inform citizens of the availability of funds and eligible uses of the state Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), and receive comments on proposed activities, particularly from lower income persons residing in Klickitat and Skamania Counties. $69,849 is proposed to be available annually to the counties and Washington Gorge Action Programs to fund public services that principally benefit low- and moderate-income persons. An overview of the proposed public services will be available for review at the Klickitat County Health Department at 228 W. Main Street in Goldendale, WA by prearrangement at any time prior to the hearing. Comments may also be submitted in writing to Klickitat County Health Department until 5pm April 8, 2018, or at the hearing. Comments on the county’s and community actions programs past performance and use of their 2018 CDBG Public Services Grant will also be received. The Commissioners’ Hearing Room is handicap accessible. Klickitat County Determination of Mitigated Non-Significance

Notice is hereby given that Klickitat County issued a Mitigated Determination of Non-significance (MDNS) on, March 29, 2019, under SEPA Rules (Chapter 197-11 WAC) and the Klickitat County Environmental Ordinance Number 121084, as amended, for the following proposals:

SEP2019-09. Applicant: Chad Ross, Iron Guard Storage. A proposal to construct three buildings including two 80’ x 100’ warehouses and one 10,250 square foot office building. The proposed development is located in the NE ¼ of Section 18, T4N, R16E, W.M., Klickitat County, WA (Goldendale vicinity) on tax parcel 04-16-1800-0001/00.

After review of the completed environmental checklist and other information on file the Klickitat County Responsible Official has determined that these proposals will not have probable significant adverse impacts on the environment. Copies of the MDNS are available at the Klickitat County Planning Department during normal business hours. Comments or appeals on the above environmental review will be accepted until 5:00 pm April 19, 2019. Appeals must be filed with the Klickitat County Auditor’s office. Appeals shall not be deemed complete without payment of the applicable appeal fees, payable to Klickitat County Planning Department.
