Gwendolyn Sue Worley

April 24, 2019

On April 12, 2019, our world lost a beautiful, sparkling soul to the heavens above. Gwen spent her last days surrounded by family and friends in Goldendale.

Gwen was born on August 17, 1949, in Cope, Colorado, to Lawrence and Nita Payne.

Gwen leaves behind the love of her life and husband for the last 50 years, Pat Worley; her four children: Schrene, Shawnn, Shad, and Susana; two brothers, Robert and David; and a sister, Terri; 16 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several others who called her Mom or Grammy over the years.

Gwen was preceded in death by her mother Nita; sister Dianne; brother Scott; and several other aunts, uncles, and grandparents.

Gwen and Pat met in 1967 when they were part of a wedding party. They fell in love and were married on Dec. 26, 1968. This is where their journey began.

Due to Pat’s position in the military, they traveled all over the U.S. and even Germany. Gwen was a stay-at-home mom who was loved by everyone.

One of the places Pat and Gwen lived was Oregon City, Oregon, where Gwen volunteered at the local hospital for several years. She was also in a bowling league with her mom, Nita. She could bowl one heck of a game.

Pat and Gwen moved to Goldendale in 2002.

Gwen’s favorite things were spending time with the love of her life, Pat, and her children and all her grand babies. She also loved all her dogs. She was passionate for bowling and Nascar. She was a huge Jimmy Johnson fan. She loved collecting solar power moving toys and anything pig related.

Heaven is lucky to have her and her dazzling smile and vibrant eyes! We love you more than anything, Mom! Until we meet again.
