Robert Wilbur Butts was born in Los Angeles, California, on Jan. 24, 1938 to Wilbur and Delores Butts. In the early 1960s, Robert moved to the Northwest. He settled in Benton City and worked for Hanford as a mason until 1979, when he moved to Goldendale and started his taxidermy business. He married Linda Lucille Wells on Sept. 16, 1989 in Goldendale. Mr. Butts had a career as a mason in the construction industry. He was a member of the Masons' Union. Robert enjoyed hunting, taxidermy, and round-table coffee. He is survived by his wife, Linda Butts of Goldendale; daughters Sherryl Woodruff of Wahkiakus, Washington, Renee Huffman of Chehalis, Washington, Cheryl Brown of Puyallup, Washington, Tina Houston of Lebanon, Oregon, and Belinda Cahill of Goldendale; and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Donald Butts. Columbia Hills Memorial Chapel handled cremation arrangements.
