May is full of May days

 


Greeting hugs and laughter filled the back of the Orient Café as 10 ladies filed in for their monthly Ladies Luncheon last Friday. The group stems from the original Sundowners R.V. Club in Lyle, where the ladies later decided they needed a day to themselves, you know, to discuss their hobbies—and hubbys, of course (at least those still blessed to have one) and compare the talents of their children, pets, grandchildren, or even great-grandchildren. Attendance is determined as personal schedules permit, so there is seldom a full account of all members. Photographs have been replaced by iPphones, which are shared around the table. Members can bring their grown-up daughters or friends, and...
