Burglarized fire district gets help

HELPING HANDS: A group of concerned citizens from around the state chipped in to help provide the Appleton fire district with goods to make up for losses in recent burglaries. The provisions were delivered Saturday.

A wildfire logistics nonprofit heard about the burglaries at the Appleton fire district and decided to do something about it.

Mana Wildfire Logistics, Inc. is a small nonprofit start-up in Washington State focused on being a link in the supply chain with local, state, and federal efforts battling ever-growing wildfire seasons. The organization aims to help to organize and coordinate resupply efforts for small rural fire districts and communities. It recently heard of the small district in Appleton.
