Goldendale hosts drug take-back event

On Saturday, April 27, Klickitat Valley Hospital (KVH) shared its lobby space with the Preventing Abuse in Klickitat County Coalition (PAKCC) to take back unused and expired prescription drugs and over-the-counter medication for safe and free disposal. The event was one of eight drug take-back programs in southwest Washington.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., KVH administrative representative Sandy Sutton, PAKCC director Anasha Gates, and Goldendale Police Officer Mike Kelly were on site to receive the drugs in a safe and confidential environment. Kelly made it clear that the program was for legal prescription drugs only and that anyone trying to drop off illegal narcotics such as methamphetamine...
