Theodore Henry Jezeski


Theodore Henry Jezeski, age 83, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2019, at home with his loving family in Battle Ground, Washington. Ted was born in Fifield, Wisconsin, on March 18, 1936. He was the son of Ben Slagel and Alice Lowery.

Ted served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, at the age of 16, and completed eight years of service to his county. After serving in the Army, he worked in the forest industry and as a logger. Throughout his life he was an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman. Ted was a prolific reader and loved Westerns, his favorite genre. His last elk hunting trip was fall of 2018, and he felt well enough to go camping and fishing last summer. His health started to decline in September of 2018.

Left to honor Ted and remember his love are his wife of 60 years, Frieda (Juengling) Jezeski and Ted's seven children: David (Bonnie) Walker, Daniel (Kathe) Jezeski, James (Krys) Jezeski, Dennis (Amy Hilfiker) Jezeski, Teddy Jezeski, John Jezeski, and Tim (Theresa) Jezeski; nine grandchildren; Philip Jezeski, Megan Braatz, Danielle (Jessie) Slaughter, Jimmy Jezeski, Timmy Jezeski, Joshua Jezeski, Jennifer Jezeski, Jacob (Aurora) Jezeski, Tamara Jezeski, and many great grandchildren; a brother, Harold (Mary Ann) Jezeski. Ted was preceded in death by his parents and grand-daughter Samantha Jezeski.

A memorial service will be held at a future date along with a military funeral honors ceremony.
