Council didn't respond to PUD request

ON DISPLAY: The Art in the Park event hosted lots of colorful works.

Surprisingly, only two Lyle residents attended the PUD meeting Tuesday afternoon. When the agenda reached the line item concerning the Lyle Water/Wastewater Rates, General Manager Jim Smith presented his request to the board. It was similar to the letter the office sent to Lyle residents concerning the meeting, which included, in two bullet line items, the need for-a 5 percent rate increase in 2019-2020 and beyond." I asked for the floor. My question to Mr. Smith was about the last two words, "and beyond," and asked him to clarify what he meant by them. How much money and how much further the "and beyond" was he speaking? He graciously took the time to explain, which zoomed over my head l...
