New fireworks law in effect this year


The Goldendale Police Department is reminding all citizens of the City of Goldendale about laws pertaining to the use of fireworks during the Fourth of July holiday.

Chief Reggie Bartkowski states, "Fireworks can only be used or discharged on July 4 from 6 p.m. to midnight." The police department will have extra patrols on during the Fourth of July to enforce the firework laws.

Bartkowski also stated that illegal fireworks are: firecrackers, sky rockets and missiles, bottle rockets, M-80s or M-100s, any improvised explosive device, and any firework that is altered.
