Gun rights advocate at rally: 'This is a spiritual battle'

 

Joey Gibson's Patriot Prayer organization drew a supportive crowd of about 70 people Saturday afternoon in Goldendale, with a handful of people peacefully holding opposing placards.

The 90-minute event was held on the Klickitat County Courthouse lawn under a large tree that afforded shade for the group, which included dogs and children who climbed the tree and played while the grown-ups mostly listened with rapt appreciation to Gibson. Klickitat County Sheriff Bob Songer also addressed the group. Gibson introduced Songer as "one of the first law-enforcement officials who spoke up against the unconstitutional I-1639."
