July 6, 1907 – Agriculturist – 112 Years Ago

We still have a few hundred of those good post left at the boring mill 4 miles north of Goldendale. They are cores from the towns log water pipe, 5 ½ inch diameter and 10 ½ feet long at $6 per hundred or 8 cents each in small lots. J.H. Barns, 1 ½ miles north of town has charge of them.

June 7, 1928 – 91 Years Ago

Marshall W. Leidl is completing this week the major portion of the new work planned for the water system in town. Forty-nine hundred feet of new water mains have been laid, replacing a lot of old wood pipe that leaked badly, and was getting to be a constant expense to the city.
