HOT DOGS: That's what you don't want. Take extra care with dogs in hot weather.

Most folks are smart enough to leave their dog at home when the weather makes their being left in the car, even for a few minutes, a danger. Some folks, like myself, have a vehicle set up specifically for safe warm weather travel with dogs. This week I'd like to mention a couple other dog related things to consider when the mercury rises.

Wildfires are a very real threat to us in Klickitat County; you never know when or where a fire can start and threaten your home. People and pets can get separated during these events, and if you don't keep permanent ID on your pets, consider doing it now.
