Museum curator keeps memories alive

The Klickitat County servicemen who lost their lives in service to our country won’t soon be forgotten thanks to a local woman committed to her call of duty.

Louise Palermo, Curator of Education at the Maryhill Museum of Art, has dedicated her personal time, to honor those who have died in service to their country, and now it is more than personal—it’s public.

For the past several years Palermo has quietly slipped in and out of the well-known Stonehenge Memorial to honor the fallen by placing red roses at their memorial plaques.
