Come for dinner, and be nourished by delicious food and drink as well as nurturing conversation with other women. Aug. 15

• Personalized Computer Sessions 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Call the library to reserve your spot for a personalized 30-minute computer instruction, available every third Thursday of the month.

• Old-Fashioned Ice Cream Social 6:00 pm. Join us for our annual Old Fashioned Ice Cream Social, organized and sponsored by the Friends of Goldendale Community Library as a community appreciation event. Free cake, ice cream, root beer floats, and watermelon. Cake auction to raise funds for library programs. Music provided by The Simcoe Boys. Free and open to the public.

Aug. 17

• Summer Reading Pool Bash. 11:00 am - 1:00 pm Off Site - Goldendale Swimming Pool. Did you or your kids read and keep track of their reading time through the library's Summer Reading Program? Celebrate the end of the program with a pool party at the Goldendale Swimming Pool, courtesy of the Central Klickitat County Parks & Recreation District. Free pool admission, hot dogs, prizes, games, music and fun. Bring your completed game card to join the fun.

• Dungeons & Dragons. 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm. Immerse yourself in a world of adventure! Explore forbidding keeps, ancient ruins and dangerous dungeons. Join your fellow heroes and do battle with monsters while seeking legendary treasures. Experienced players or those wanting to learn, come play Dungeons & Dragons from 2–4 pm. This group is intended for 7th grade through high school.

• 40th Anniversary of the Goldendale Senior Center. Starts at 11:30. Featuring special guest speaker Virginia Dunham, and Cake.

Aug. 16 - 17

• 2nd Anniversary – Summer Music – McDougall. Start: 08/16/2019 6:30 pm. It is Dwinell Country Ales 2 year Anniversary Weekend – come out and celebrate! Help us kick off the weekend out on the patio with a cool beer on a warm summer night while listening to some great original music from McDougall. 206 West Broadway Street, Goldendale, WA

Aug. 22 - 25

• Klickitat County Fair. Celebrating 76 years of County Fair fun – please join us in Goldendale, WA for NPRA Rodeo excitement, livestock and still life entries, live music, on-going entertainment and displays, Thursday night BBQ dinner for $8, Wenatchee Youth Circus performances, and lots more! The Klickitat County Fair & Rodeo will be held in Goldendale, Washington August 22-25 at the Klickitat County Fairgrounds. Rodeo Saturday & Sunday, Market Livestock Sale Saturday.

Aug. 30

• Summer Music at Dwinell Country Ales and P Barton. 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm. Start Labor Day Weekend off with a cold beer out on the patio and some great original music from P Barton! 206 West Broadway Street Goldendale, WA

Aug. 31

• Bickleton's 12th annual Car Show and Flea Market. 9-4 p.m. Any car, truck, or motorcycles, all makes, models and years are welcome. Awards are 3 places per class with 18 classes along with 50/50 drawing, door prizes and a raffle. Dash plaques to the first 150 cars. Not only the show is going on, but the flea/vendor Market fills the Grange Hall with food available there as well as the Blue Bird and the Market Street Café. Enjoy the fun and festivities at the 2019 Huckleberry Festival in Bingen Friday, September 6th 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM Saturday, September 7th 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM Sunday, September 8th 10:00 PM to 5:00 PM Huckleberry pies and treats, Brats, Vendors, and a lot of fun family and kid activities. Entertainment will be announced closer to the event.
