August 28, 1919 – 100 Years Ago

The Blockhouse Mineral Springs and Hotel were sold the first of the week to Dahlgren, Winch and Pinn, of Washougal, by L.H. Baker. It is the intention of the new owner to add a swimming pool at once and enlarge the bathing facilities. The purchase price was $20,000 which included the springs, 20 acres of ground, the dance hall, and hotel.

August 29, 1929 – 90 Years Ago

The Phoenix Flyer, Model A Ford No. 1283, which broke all road records for the run from Los Angeles to Phoenix and return, is being displayed in Goldendale, Monday, Sept. 2, by Nickerson-Olsen, local Ford distributer.
