NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS

Sealed bids for Klickitat County Bickleton Shop Fuel Tank Replacement Project will be received by the Board of County Commissioners at the reception desk located in the Klickitat County Public Works Department, 115 South Golden, Goldendale Washington. Mailing address 228 W. Main MS-CH-19, Goldendale Washington 98620 until 1:15 PM on September 24, 2019 for performing the work described below. Sealed bids will be opened at the Klickitat County Commissioners Chambers and publicly read aloud on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at 1:30 PM or shortly thereafter. Bids received after 1:15 PM September 24, 2019 will not be considered. The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive informalities.

Bid envelopes shall be appropriately marked on the outside “Bid Opening 1:30 p.m. September 24, 2019, Bickleton Shop Fuel Tank Replacement Project WP 55-9.

The work to be performed under these specifications consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to safely decommission, remove and dispose of the existing tank. Specific work includes, but not limited to extending the existing concrete pad supplying and installing a new 6000-gallon fuel tank and providing plumbing and electrical connections for the new tank. The improvements are located in Bickelton, Washington.

Total Estimated Project Cost Range $85,000 to $125,000

The County of Klickitat, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, nondiscrimination in federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color or national origin in consideration for an award.

Specific work includes, but not limited to plumbing/pipefitting, electrical work, roof repair and replacement, balancing equipment, steel insulated duct work, pipe insulation, and commissioning the new equipment. The improvements are located in Goldendale, Washington.

Total Estimated Project Cost Range $230,000.00 to $300,000.00

The current Klickitat County appointment to the Fort Vancouver Regional Library District Board of Trustees will become vacant October 1, 2019. The Klickitat County Board of Commissioners is accepting letters of interest from county residents interested in filling this position. This position can be filled from any area of Klickitat County.

The Board of Trustees of the Fort Vancouver Regional Library District is responsible for providing and maintaining quality public library services for the citizens of the regional library district as set for in RCW 27.12 and any other applicable laws. To set directions, monitor and review library performance, and to fulfill the obligations of the public trust.
