Miss Cleo Shelton brought her High School domestic science class downtown last Thursday and Friday, and Alton Johnson gave a practical lecture on electrical appliances at the Pacific Power & Light Company office, stressing electric refrigeration, and the new model Thor washer. [The Thor Washing Machine was the first electric washer sold commercially in the U.S.]

Centerville Grange met in regular session Friday evening, October 4, with the Master, F.A. Bromley in the chair. Forty members were present. It was decided to help use the surplus apples on the market by having an apple potluck dinner. It will be interesting...
