KVH earns 12th accreditation for mammography

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Klickitat Valley Health was honored to receive its accreditation with the American College of Radiology (ACR) for the 12th time since the Mammography Quality Standards Act was passed by Congress in 1992.

"Prior to 1992, there was no accreditation for mammography and everyone sort of did what they pleased. Since the passing of the Act, I believe that mammography is more regulated than just about any aspect of health care," said Sandra Rorabaugh, R.T., Mammography Supervisor at KVH.
