Sentinel seeks to return lost items

It is amazing what a person can find when scrounging around in an upstairs room no one ever uses anymore. One of the discoveries at The Goldendale Sentinel recently is an old wooden box with a hinged lid. The looks of it are actually rather unimpressive, however, when the lid was lifted, a veritable treasure was found ensconced within, waiting to be revealed.
In 1956, Pete and Eleanor (Carr) May bought The Sentinel, and Eleanor started collecting photos, letters, and other odds and ends dear to her heart. She died unexpectedly March 16, 1964, and eventually her box of treasured items were put to rest upstairs and forgotten over the years.
