NOTICE: ANNOUNCEMENT OF AVAILABILITY OF APPLICATION

Wild Flavors dba AMT West, LLC has applied for a new State Waste Discharge Permit No. ST0501326 in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 90.48 Revised Code of Washington (RCW), Chapter 173-216 Washington Administrative Code (WAC), and the Federal Water Pollution Control Act as amended.

Following evaluation of the application and other available information, a draft permit will be developed which would allow the discharge of mint oil processing wastewater to a daily maximum of 550 gallons per day to the City of Goldendale POTW from its facility located at 1501 S. Columbus Avenue, Goldendale, WA. All discharges to be in compliance with the Department of Ecology's Water Quality Standards for a permit to be issued.

The Department of Ecology has determined that it will take no further action on this application at this time. The application and all attachments, submitted September 11, 2019 and accepted September 26, 2019, will be become a "temporary permit" effective 30 days following the final date of this notice. Operation consistent with the application and attachments shall be authorized for a period up to 5 years or until Ecology issues a formal permit. A final determination will not be made until all timely comments received in response to this notice have been evaluated.

PUBLIC COMMENT AND INFORMATION

The application and other related documents are available at Ecology’s Central Regional Office for inspection and copying between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., weekdays. Notice is hereby given that a General Election will be held in Klickitat County, Washington, November 5, 2019, in all precincts within Klickitat County. The election will be conducted by mail ballot.

Voter registration forms are available at post offices, libraries, or at the Auditor’s Office. Registrations and updates may also be submitted online at votewa.gov.

The last day to register to vote online, through the mail, transfer or update an existing registration is October 28, 2019. The last day to register to vote or update your voter registration in person, is November 5, 2019, in the Klickitat County Auditor’s Office, 205 S. Columbus Ave. Room 203, Goldendale, WA. The registration books will remain closed until November 26, 2019.

On or before October 18, 2019, the Auditor will mail each qualified voter within the county a mail ballot. Ballots returned by mail must be postmarked by November 5, 2019. No postage is required if mailed within the United States. Ballots returned to our office or dropped into a designated drop box must be returned by 8:00 P.M. on November 5, 2019. Replacement ballots may be obtained in the Auditor’s Office or by visiting votewa.gov.

The Auditor’s Office shall provide the availability of registration and voting aids, assistance to elderly and disabled persons, and procedures for voting by mail. Contact the Auditor’s Office if you are in need of assistance with a mail ballot.

The Accessible Voting Unit is equipped with audio and visual technology which allows voters with limited vision, hearing, or physical disabilities to vote more independently. Public Meeting Notice

Klickitat County Accessible Voting Advisory Committee Meeting

A meeting for the Accessible Voting Advisory Committee will be held on Friday, October 25, 2019, at 10:00 A.M. The meeting will be in the County Commissioner’s Board Room on the ground floor in the Klickitat County Courthouse located at 205 S. Columbus Ave, Goldendale, WA 98620. An accessibility ramp is located on the north side of the building.

The purpose of this meeting will be to review the 2019 Accessible Voting Plan and evaluate the usability on the new Accessible Voting Unit.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION

Request for Proposals Tourism Promotion

The City of Goldendale is accepting proposals for tourism promotion services to be provided during the calendar year 2020 and funded by revenue from the City’s lodging tax. Lodging taxes available for 2020 are estimated to be $55,000. Selected proposals will be based on their emphasis and ability to create events and activities that will result in positive user impacts on lodging, restaurants and retail markets in the City of Goldendale.
