Sue "Gaga" Bellamy

October 23, 2019

On Oct. 13, 2019, Sue Bellamy was welcomed into her heavenly home by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Sue was born Sept. 15, 1943, in The Dalles, Oregon, to Jack Tobin and Margaret (Niva) Tobin. At the age of five years old, Sue gave her life to Jesus Christ at the Centerville Church of Christ where she was a lifelong member. She lived her childhood and adult life in Klickitat, Washington.

At the age of 19, Sue met and married the love of her life, Don Bellamy, Sr. Don and Sue were married 47 ½ years until Don's death in 2010. Don and Sue's marriage produced three sons, Don Jr., John, and Michael. Sue loved her family and was a wonderful mother. With her parents Jack and Margaret, she never missed any of her boys' activities. Sue was on the school board, ladies' union auxiliary, taught Sunday school, and worked on the elections boards. She also loved to play pinochle with the Ladies' Birthday Club.

The most important job Sue had was raising her family and being devoted to her husband, children, and grandchildren. Being Gaga, as her grandchildren called her, was her greatest joy. Gaga was always there for her grandchildren. She taught them to love their family and Jesus.

In 1996, Sue and Don moved to Goldendale so they could lovingly care for Sue's parents and be close to her children and seven grandchildren.

Sue is survived by her three sons, Don Jr. (and wife Michelle), John (and wife Melody), and Michael (and fiancée Avery). She is also survived by seven grandchildren; Don III (and wife Carisa), Margaret (and husband Jacob), Kacey, Kelley, Makenna, Cloe, and Jack. Sue was preceded in death by her husband Don Sr. and parents, Jack and Margaret Tobin.

A graveside celebration of life was held in Goldendale, where she was buried with her husband, on Oct. 19, 2019.
