Goldendale golf pro retiring

Goldendale Golf Pro Keith Johnson is retiring after 41 years in the golf industry. Johnson’s bookend career started and ended in Goldendale at the Goldendale Golf Club. In between, his journey took him to Libby, Montana; Hood River; and Myrtle Creek Oregon.

In 1979 Johnson was hired at the Goldendale Golf Club to perform the outside maintenance under then-pro Rod Carlson. In 1981 when Carlson took a position of head golf professional in Colville, Washington, the course turned to Keith to take over overall management.

Johnson left Goldendale in 1986 and returned in 2011. Keith has been a teaching pro, introducing many people to the love of the game. He says he is proud of his work with...
