Students and teachers from the Bickleton School Journalism

Club made a field trip to Goldendale last week to visit the office of the Sentinel. They got to know the process of how a newspaper gets put together, covering editorial, advertising, and business functions. They also got a close-up look at some of the oldest copies of the Sentinel, dating to 1916, stored in the office. Recently even older extant copies of the newspaper were discovered, dating to the late 1890s; they are being carefully examined and organized.
