Jim Hauser

November 13, 2019

On Sunday, Oct. 27, 2019, Jim Hauser, 68, was welcomed into his heavenly home by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was reunited with his parents and friends who preceded him.

Jim was born Oct. 8, 1951, in Eugene, Oregon. Developmentally disabled since birth, he lived with his parents, Art and Arleen Hauser, in Portland, Oregon, and on farms near Aurora, Oregon, and Molalla, Oregon. He lived at New Hope Farms near Goldendale since 1998.

Jim was friendly and greeted everyone with a great smile and a warm hello. He loved watching trains, planes, fire trucks and washing machines, listening to the Portland Trailblazer games on the radio, and was friendly with all cats.

He loved Jesus and loved people. He is survived by his brothers, Dave and Steve, and his sister, Selma.

New Hope Farms is a non-profit organization, established in 1978, that provides a loving and caring home and activities for developmentally disabled adults. Donations in honor of Jim may be sent to New Hope Farms, PO Box 89, Goldendale, WA 98620 to be used to build a new activity center for the other residents.
