Don’t make fatal choices

As the use of legal marijuana increases, so does the amount of fatal car crashes. Fatal crashes involving drivers who had recently used marijuana doubled in Washington State after the legalization of the drug, according to the American Automobile Association Foundation for Traffic Safety.

Some of the effects are a slower reaction time, lack of concentration, forgetting where you are going, and panic attacks. Then when you mix beer with marijuana, the effects are unpredictable.

Impaired judgement and motor skills can turn the vehicle you are driving into a weapon causing death or severe injuries. Thinking, “It will not happen to me, I can handle it” when you...
