November weather was warmer

According to preliminary data received by NOAA's National Weather Service in Pendleton Oregon, temperatures at Goldendale averaged slightly warmer than normal during the month of November.

The average temperature was 37.7 degrees which was 0.7 degrees above normal. High Temperatures averaged 50.0 degrees, which was 3.8 degrees above normal. The highest was 63 degrees on the 6th. Low temperatures averaged 25.4 degrees, which was 2.5 degrees below normal. The lowest was 7 degrees, on the 30th.

There were 23 days with the low temperature below 32 degrees.

Precipitation totaled 0.08 inches during November, which was 2.65 inches below normal. Measurable precipitation -at least .01 inch- was received on 3 days with the heaviest, 0.05 inches reported on the 19th.

Precipitation this year has reached 13.40 inches, which is 0.63 inches below normal. Since October, the water year precipitation at Goldendale has been 1.44 inches, which is 2.70 inches below normal.

The outlook for December from NOAA's Climate Prediction Center calls for above normal temperatures and above normal precipitation. Normal highs for Goldendale fall from 39.0 degrees at the start of December to 35.0 degrees at the end of December. Normal lows fall from 25.0 degrees to 24.0 degrees. The 30-year normal precipitation is 3.19 inches.
