Last week’s story in The Sentinel on the school lockdown requires clarifications, which are:

LeAndra Kessiner’s conviction last year on assault was free of consideration of firearm use. During the assault incident, her gun was dislodged and fell out, but she recovered it and put it away. It was not used in the assault.

Goldendale Police asked Kessinger to voluntarily surrender her guns after her posting on Facebook that led to the modified school lockdown. She did voluntarily surrender them; none were forcibly confiscated.
