The Christmas retail season is well underway, and there is a new timeline marker for it from China. It’s called Singles’ Day, or “World’s Shopping Day,” the Chinese equivalent of Black Friday, and it marked the start of the November shopping season, followed by Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday. It also highlights the ever-growing menace of online theft.
