Leon Hensley

Leon Fulton Hensley, 66, passed away at his home in Goldendale on Jan. 7, 2020. He was born in Charlottesville, Virginia on Sept. 19, 1953, to Doris Eloise (Pugh) and Harry Leon Hensley. Leon married Kathleen Mary Tannario in Hampton, Virginia, on December 20, 1975. He worked as a numerical control programmer for Boeing. Leon enjoyed computer programming and learning new things. He also liked flight simulators, reading, cooking, and crocheting. Other loves were keeping chickens, opera, felling trees, and old movies. He and his wife had moved to Goldendale four years ago to do amateur astronomy and enjoy the natural beauty of the area. They loved the kindness and generosity of the people of Goldendale and considered it home. Mr. Hensley is survived by his wife, Kathleen Mary Hensley of Goldendale, and brother Donald R.
