SAFETY IN THE CYBER WORLD: MyLife Online is a program off ered at the Goldendale Middle School to educate kids and parents about the perils of life on the internet, as shown by the statistics displayed on the program's website (above), and how to stay safe. An informational meeting about the program-for parents only-will be held on March 17 at the Middle School cafeteria, with a dinner at 5:30 p.m. followed by a presentation at 6 p.m.

Is your child one of the 2.3 billion people in the world using social media? If so, Goldendale Middle School (GMS) shares your concern about keeping them safe and positive online.

Using a new program called "My Life Online," the school is teaching students smart online behavior in order to help kids be safe and aware of the influence their online presence can have on their life now and in the future. Negative social media has a major impact on students' mental health and academic success. "My Life Online" helps students, parents and teachers reduce the drama.
