The Goldendale City Council has another new member. At Monday night's meeting, the council filled the position vacated two weeks ago when Justin Leigh resigned to take a position as a part time contract employee in the city. Rather than advertise for applications and go through an interview process, the council went back to interviews done Dec. 17 when the council was looking to fill another seat left vacant by the resignation of Guy Theriault. After the three candidates were interviewed, Loren Meagher had three votes to two for Julie Buck, with none for former city council member Steve Johnston.
