Feral cat program shows progress

This article is a progress update following the two previous articles in The Sentinel in January and February of 2019 about "Pawsitivity," a local group that advocates for spaying and neutering of feral cats in the Goldendale and Centerville areas. ("Local Group Works to Control Feral Cat Numbers," Jan. 9; "Program Offered to Help Spaying for Low-Income Families," Feb. 20).

Here are a few of the groups' most important statistics:

• 254 female/male cats got spayed / neutered.

• In all, 51 kittens were adopted. These kittens were cared for and socialized in our foster homes so they could then be adopted.

• 7 adult cats were adopted (cats that were social, strays or abandoned).
