Council amends Goodnoe agreement

The main item of business at last Monday night’s Goldendale City Council meeting was to vote on an amendment to the city’s agreement with Goodnoe Development, which bought the former Mt. Adams Care Center. The amendment moves some timelines farther into the future, since when it was originally signed on August 16, 2018, Goodnoe had hoped to have demolition completed long ago. That was held up finding the right company with the skills to deal with the quantity of asbestos in the property that has to be carefully abated.
