Second confirmed case was tested outside county

March 18, 2020

The Klickitat County Unified Command issued a statement Thursday evening, March 19, stating it “wants to reassure the public that every potential case of COVID-19 is being taken seriously and is being investigated thoroughly.”

The Command said the second confirmed case of COVID-19 in the county is cooperating with the Klickitat Public Health Department. “Any possible contacts will be contacted by the Klickitat County Public Health Provider, informed, and monitored,” it stated. “This patient was tested by a healthcare provider outside of Klickitat County. As mentioned, this case is low risk because of self-quarantine and following recommendations outlined by the CDC, and healthcare professionals from the onset of initial symptoms.”
