Rosalee Opal Cole

 

Rosalee Opal Cole, 88, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2020, at Ashley Manor in Hood River, Oregon. She was a resident of Hood River for the past six years and a former longtime resident of Goldendale.

Rosalee was born on August 3, 1931, in Neosho, Missouri. She was the youngest of three children born to Albert and Edna (Molz) Hubler.

She attended schools in Neosho, Missouri, and was a graduate of Neosho High School in 1949.

Rosalee married Robert (Bob) Cole in Neosho, Missouri, on August 13, 1949, and he preceded her in death on January 14, 1997.

Rosalee and Bob moved to Washington in 1957 and to Goldendale in 1959. Rosalee worked at several businesses in Goldendale and had her own clothing store in the late 1970s. She assisted Bob at the State Farm Insurance office for many years.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Goldendale for over 50 years. Rosalee had been a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She loved the time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, family, and friends. She also enjoyed reading, sewing, playing bingo, working in her yard and flowers, and especially caring for her African violets.

Rosalee is survived by one daughter, Marilyn Muir; husband Lynn Muir of Rock Springs, Wyoming; one son, Michael Cole of White Salmon, Washington; three grandchildren, Tracy Meats and husband Chris, Shawn Muir and wife Amber all of Rock Springs, Wyoming, and Christopher Cole, Portland, Oregon; six great grandchildren Cole, Ian, Shane and Toby Meats, and Wesley and Kolby Muir; and several nieces and nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Bob; sister Pauline Edwards; and brother Jess Hubler.

There will not be funeral services due to the current restrictions in Washington, and a celebration of life will take place this summer.
