Distancing at work at New Hope

 


All who live and work at the farm are practicing “social distancing” as ordered by Gov. Inslee. There have been no outings or trips away from the farm for any of the residents, but they are finding ways of staying busy.

The dedicated staff is quite ingenious at finding new ways to keep everyone from feeling too house bound. They have made trips to Subway and Dairy Queen to pick up lunches and deliver them to the residents. McDonald’s breakfasts have been a big hit also.

A variety of indoor activities are enjoyed. The farm has many board games, and several have made it to the “favorites” category—one of which is Operation. One staff member described it as a “real hoot” for...
