Looking Back

 


Considering our recent weather, I had to start this week’s “Looking Back” column with a 100-year-old weather report that is appropriate today.

April 1, 1920 - 100 Years Ago

March’s departing blasts, likened literally to the lion’s roar, swept Klickitat County from end to end, bringing snow, ice, rain, hail—anything along the weather line that could be thought of, certainly not wished for. The old West Wind descended upon this section in all its fury, giving vent to a little of all of its weather samples for the four seasons. It has been fine weather to remain indoors—and many did.
