Looking for the helpers


At Klickitat Valley Health (KVH) early yesterday morning, a woman in scrubs was crossing the parking lot toward the main entrance. A car headed south on Roosevelt pulled over to the curb. The driver rolled down his window, leaned out, and shouted "Thank you!" to the woman. She turned, smiled, and shouted thank you back.

Down at the coffee drive-through shop at Holcomb's, the woman working there said it's been really busy. "Especially since all the other coffee places closed," she said. "I'm open early, and I get a lot of people from KVH coming through, and they've said thanks for being here.
