Noise Parade honors essential workers

IN HONOR: Sirens sounded around Goldendale Thursday to honor communications and medical workers.

Last Thursday evening, sirens were heard throughout Goldendale. Fortunately, it was not an emergency but a parade of first responders. The Noise Parade honored local communications officers in celebration of National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, April 12 – 18.

Our communications officers are normally feted with a barbeque sponsored by other first responders, but the celebrations had to be cancelled due to the Covid 19 outbreak.
