She then went to Eastern Washington University, where she received her teaching degree. Judy taught school at Goldendale High School for a few years. Judy made the move to Vancouver, Washington, to raise her children and for the opportunity to teach in various grade schools. For over 10 years, Judy sang as first soprano with the Portland Oregon Symphonic Choir and the Portland Symphonic Orchestra.
