Daniel Hopkins

 


Daniel Loyal Hopkins passed away at his home in Goldendale on May 3, 2020, at the age of 73. He was born on March 24, 1947 in Portland, Oregon, to Loyal Burdette Hopkins, Jr. and Mary Louise (Carter) Hopkins.

Daniel served in the United States Army and went on to a career as an iron rigger for the U.S. Corps of Engineers. Mr. Hopkins was a member of the Masons, Shriners and American Legion. Daniel enjoyed growing his herb garden, the annual Thanksgiving Raffle, and many functions at the Legion. He loved riding and caring for his Harley Davidson and washing and waxing his prized red Cadillac. Daniel is survived by his sisters Patricia “Patty” George of Aloha, Oregon, and Jere Sanucci; brother Michael “Mike” Hopkins; niece Heather M. Monaghan; and great nephew Carter H. Monaghan both of Hillsboro, Oregon; and many cousins. Columbia Hills Memorial Chapel handled cremation arrangements.
