Drive-in Wi-Fi hotspots launch statewide push for universal public access broadband


The Washington State Broadband Office estimates over 300 new drive-in Wi-Fi hotspots are coming online statewide through an initiative to bring free public broadband internet access to all residents. There are five such drive-in Wi-Fi hotspots in Klickitat County, four in Goldendale and one in White Salmon. The ones in Goldendale are outside the Goldendale Public Library and each of the three schools in Goldendale. The one in White Salmon is outside the White Salmon Valley Community Library.
