City ready to move into Phase 2

 


It was a short meeting for the Goldendale City Council Monday night, just over half an hour by telephone, but the council covered several important topics. In the only action of the night, council members approved a request from John Bright on behalf of the Goldendale Lions Club to sell fireworks for the Fourth of July holiday. Mayor Mike Canon reminded councilors and listeners that the city passed an ordinance that took effect last year limiting the sale and use of fireworks in the city of Goldendale.

“It’s legal to sell and purchase consumer fireworks within the city from 12 noon to 11 p.m. on June 28, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on each day from June 29 to July 4, and from 9 a.m. to 9 p....
