Goldendale High School seniors held the most unusual graduation ceremonies last week. The graduation itself was held in the parking lot of the high school (top), with large screens showing graduates as they received their diplomas. Before that, a parade of the graduates went through town (second from top), allowing the public to applaud this history-making class. At the graduation, Salutatorian Ellie Rising and Valedictorian Cameron Mains spoke. Rising commented that the graduation was taking place in the same parking lot where so many activities had been prohibited. Sunday was the Baccalaureate, where Pastor Michael Block addressed students and families.
